Sorbier was truly delighted to be awarded the opportunity to reversion the classic animation series “Peppa Pig” to the Gaelic language, in 2009. The series is presently being transmitted on BBC ALBA, and will continue its run in 2010. This completes a highly successful package of cartoons that we have delivered to MG/BBC ALBA ... from the cult Italian series “Pimpa” (christened with the cute Gaelic title of “Cuiseag” by our writer, John Carmichael) to the huge international hit “Thomas and Friends.” Between us, Sorbier staff and its affiliates have many years’ experience in animation voice work and we cherish this extremely challenging area of the Gaelic broadcasting schedules.

The loveable character Peppa Pig was brought to life in Gaelic, by ten year old Eilidh Jenkins of Sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu. The series was written in Gaelic by Catriona Johnston and John Carmichael, and sound dubbing was carried out by STV Solutions.
