  • Patsi MacKenzie

    Company Director / Programme Producer / Executive Producer

    A native of the Isle of Lewis, Sorbier company director Patsi Mackenzie has been working in television since she left school in the late ‘80s. She has a wealth of experience in line producing, executive producing and presenting for STV, BBC Scotland, and independent companies in the UK. Patsi is adept at leading production teams, running large budgets and production schedules for Sorbier and other clients, and overseeing multi-layered tv projects from pitch to screen. Having worked extensively as executive producer of STV’s commissioned Gaelic product in her capacity as a freelancer since 2004, she has great knowledge of the business side of commercial television, while also delivering programmes to BBC editorial specification and demand. Patsi particularly enjoys producing drama and factual television, and working with like-minded directors, editors and writers.

  • Marion MacDonald

    Company Director / Television Editor

    From Bornish in the Isle of South Uist, Marion is a highly respected craft editor who began her career with Grampian Television newsroom, before developing her skills across other genres. She has worked on a vast range of different programming for Gaelic, regional and network and after ten years as a staff member with STV/Grampian, went freelance in 2008. Marion excels in observational documentary and factual programming, and recently she has also begun working in drama. She is a key player throughout the production of any programme or series she edits – from script to tape – and is passionate in her belief that craft skill presides, regardless of language. In the first year of BBC ALBA, many of the most highly regarded productions were edited by Marion – from pre-school to true crime documentary.

  • Paul Jones

    Company Secretary / Finance Manager

    Sorbier believes in working with professionals of many and varied life experiences, and talents. Originally from Yorkshire, Paul has been working for Sorbier from the outset and looks after all the company’s administrative needs. He has worked in over forty countries around the world and is an enormously experienced financial manager and former company director, whose other achievements include many years with Texas Instruments, and working at the highest end of seismology research. Languages and a multi-cultural approach are central to the creative atmosphere in which Sorbier works; Paul speaks French and Spanish, and divides his time between Edinburgh, Paris, Madrid and the Pyrenees.

  • Andy Fegen

    From Kirriemuir in Angus, Andy Fegen is a UK BAFTA craft award winner and senior editor. After several years full-time with Glasgow facilities house Edit 123, Andy entered the freelance market in 2007 and has developed a solid client base including BBC, STV, independent production companies, freelance directors, and the corporate market. He particularly enjoys working on drama and factual programming, with strong narrative and bold directing. Andy has many flagship credits including “Coast”, “The Culture Show”, “Jimmy’s Home Farm”, “Horizon”, “Panorama”, “Restoration Village”, “Location, Location, Location” and “Crimes That Shook the World”. In 2000, he was awarded the UK BAFTA for Best Editing Factual for his offline work on the critically acclaimed “Omnibus – Dudley  Moore, After the Laughter”. Andy has been central to Sorbier’s productions since the company began, and as well as editing key projects and managing our post-production schedules, he is regularly involved with developing the company’s new ideas, and its professional relationships across the freelance pool.
